It has been the dream of our Leaders that COGIC established a school providing theological training for the people of God and especially those entering Ministry. This was achieved in September 1984 when the COGIC Bible. School & Training Unit was established at Northumberland Park, Tottenham.
In January 1987 the School formed an association with the Overstone Theological College in Birmingham and in February 1987, based on the high standards of courses offered, the School was granted College status and gained affiliation to the European Theological Seminary. The Calvary Theological College as it was renamed, is open to COGIC members as well as students of other faiths and has served a wide Christian community ever since.
The College has its roots in the Pentecostal tradition, offering a wide range of courses in theological education with a strict emphasis on the Doctrine of the Church. Some of the other courses covered include old and New Testament studies, Sunday School and Evangelism.

Mission Statement
We will promote the doctrinal teachings of scripture and train men and women to become sound in the Word and in their faith. We will endeavour to teach believers of all faiths the importance of living by the principles of God's Word and through answering the call of the Great Commission, encourage them to serve in their local Churches and Communities.
Aims
The aims of Calvary Theological College are:
•To impact theological education to those requiring it;
•To equip men and women in the Word of God so that they in turn will be able to imput such knowledge to others;
•To equip men and women for the work of the Ministry;
•To teach believers the importance of living from sin;
•To develop believers so that they are able to defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ with confidence and in humility; and
•To strengthen Christian character.
Objectives
The objectives of Calvary Theological College will be met through the provision of the courses which we deliver, as well as through individuals and group study.

• College’s Motto: ‘Veritas, fides et sapientia’, which, translated from Latin means: truth, faith and wisdom. Everything we do is with transparency.
• Key Verse: 2 Timothy 2:15 is our key verse of Scripture, which is a foundational for Students throughout their journey, up to and including Graduation: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
• The Bible: The Bible is the source of our teaching and the Holy Spirit (on whom we are reliant in all that we do) is the source of our inspiration.
